Discounts, Scholarships, and Financial Assistance

We recognize that there has been a lot of economic uncertainty and shrinking of T&S teams and budgets across organizations in the past several months. Because TrustCon focuses on professional development and networking, being able to attend is more important than ever for many trust and safety professionals, despite budget cuts and limited resources. Registration, travel, and accommodation costs may be significant barriers for trust and safety professionals to attend. Because of this, we try to make TrustCon as accessible as we can.

This year, we are offering a variety of ways to ensure that T&S professionals can attend TrustCon.

Membership Rate

Members of TSPA can register at the member registration price, which is $550 off the standard price. To receive this rate, you’ll need to register for TrustCon using the email address you use to log into the TSPA member portal.

If you are unsure of which email address that is, please contact TSPA. If you are a TSPA member but do not have an account in the TSPA member portal, you will need to do that first before you can receive the member registration fee. To become a member, you will need to apply to become a member. Information about becoming a TSPA member can be found here. Please note that it’s a 1-2 week process to complete your application to become a member. To secure the membership price, submit your application by June 14. Account activation must be completed by June 21. Contact TSPA if you have any questions.

Automatic Discounts

We are offering registration discounts for the following groups of individuals. If you belong to one of these groups, you will receive 50% off the registration price. If you belong to any of these groups and live in a middle-to-low income country, you will receive 75% off the registration price.

This discount will be applied as part of your registration. If you qualify, watch for the discount code you will need to enter at the payment page.

Students - Students who are currently enrolled in post-secondary education will receive a 50% discount.

Middle- to low-income countries - Residents of low and middle-income country, as designated by the World Bank, can receive a 50% discount.

Non-profit or Government - If you work for a non-profit or governmental organization, you will receive a 50% discount.

Financial Assistance / Scholarships - At Capacity - Waitlist Only

Thank you for your interest in attending TrustCon 2024! At this time, our scholarship program has reached capacity.  Even though our scholarship program is currently full, you can still request financial assistance to attend TrustCon by filling out our application form and joining our scholarship waitlist. However, please note that we have activated a waitlist due to the high demand for scholarships and there is no guarantee that we will be able to grant any more scholarships.

Here's what you can request on the scholarship waitlist:

  • Request to pay $500, $250, $100, or $0 for an in-person ticket.
  • Request TSPA to help cover up to 1, 2, or 3 nights of hotel accommodations.
  • Request TSPA to help cover airfare.

The general scholarship fund is available to anyone. While we will prioritize applicants who are speakers, trust and safety professionals, TSPA members, and individuals working in nonprofit or civil society, we encourage anyone who wishes to attend and needs a scholarship to apply.

Thanks to SafetyKit’s generosity, a Research and Engineering Scholarship is available to researchers, data scientists, analysts, and engineers studying or working in trust and safety. SafetyKit is particularly excited to support those who work on the intersection of AI and Trust and Safety and want to share their work as speakers and discussion participants. If you think you qualify for this scholarship, please use the questions asking you to describe your work and to provide additional information to explain how your current work and/or your career goals are related to the technical (Eng/DS/Product) aspects of T&S, or how the theoretical and/or applied research you do is related to AI and T&S.

We will keep all applicants informed of any updates regarding scholarship availability, and we will let you know if and when scholarships become available.

Speaker Registration

As a confirmed speaker for TrustCon, you will receive complimentary registration for the day(s) you are presenting. If you wish to attend the full conference, including the days you will not be presenting, your registration fee will be $450. (This is the same for both members and non-members.)

TSPA will send you a unique URL to use to register to receive the speaker discount. Make sure to register using the email address to which TSPA sent the registration link. If you register prior to receiving confirmation that your proposal is accepted, you can be refunded for the fee that you paid.

Special Group Registration

Corporate Supporters, Sponsors, Exhibitors

Corporate supporters, sponsors, and exhibitors will receive a set number of complimentary tickets. Instructions on how to register for complimentary tickets will be sent to you by TSPA.

Volunteers, Event Staff

TrustCon volunteers and event staff will also receive complimentary tickets and will be provided with instructions on how to register.

Invitation or Support Letters

TSPA will provide formal invitation letters to presenters who request them; however, we will not proactively issue formal invitation letters for attendees. If you need documentation beyond registration receipts for your organization to approve of your attendance at TrustCon, please contact us.

If you need a letter for your visa application, we can provide a support letter that you can submit with your visa application. Visa support letters are provided 3-5 business days after you have confirmed and paid for your registration. If you need a visa support letter, please contact us.

Refunds and Registration Transfers

TrustCon registration tickets are fully refundable until July 9, 2024, after which no refunds will be allowed.

If you are unable to attend and wish to transfer your ticket to another attendee, you can do so as long as the other attendee would have qualified for your registration type (member, nonmember, speaker, etc.) and discounts (student, NGO-government, etc.). If the other attendee does not qualify for your registration type and/or discounts, we recommend that you request a refund. Registration name changes will not be allowed after July 9.

Please note that sharing name badges at TrustCon is strictly prohibited. For safety reasons, we require that everyone at TrustCon be registered attendees. Per TSPA's code of conduct anyone who attends our events is required to represent themselves authentically. Please do not share your name badge with a colleague or friend.

Registration Deadline

Registration closes July 9, 2024 (unless we sell out of tickets before then).
