Ahmed is a systems analyst with a strong background in project development, operations, and coalition building for global organizations. He is currently leading a community project known as the Misinformation Village. The Misinformation Village is a knowledge space and a vehicle for intersectional research on disinformation and cyber offensive campaigns. He brings together grassroots organizers, academia, government and private industry for healthier and safer digital public spaces. His organizing work focuses on grand topics in an ever-changing policy discourse and shifting resources: Some of his focus is trustworthy internet, building capacity for intersectional disinformation research and cybersecurity policy.

Ahmed's most recent work has been defined by his research and knowledge production expertise, chairing and producing global events such as the MisinfoCon global summit series and similar research and Truth and Trust Online Conference. He consults privately with accessibility organizations, political candidates who are trying to make sense of the media and information disorder, as well as trust and safety solutions vendors, to operationalize new research and regulations into processes and products.
