There are many ongoing coordinated and disjointed community building efforts designed to provide a platform to T&S and Integrity workers including academics, researchers, policymakers, current and former employees of big tech companies. This session will build on the panelists’ combined experience building grassroots regional and international organizations and using collectives to create a space that contributes to a quantitative understanding of mis, dis, and malinformation, and promoting civic integrity. The panelists will provide targeted recommendations on how they mobilized professionals towards achieving actionable outcomes and particularly democratizing access to students. We will bring in those actively engaged in these efforts with public and private stakeholders so that the community can identify impact areas and tap into the existing talent pool among their membership in order to achieve concrete outcomes as consequences of meaningful dialogue.
