Description
This panel will contribute practical and motivational insights on a global historically-under-represented population that is critical to many companies’ communities and represents similar risks and harms as other marginalized populations. We will discuss lessons learned from working with and researching LGBTQ+ communities, and how technology platforms’ policies and practices can increase queer and trans users’ safety while minimizing the harms they face, thus allowing expanded freedom of expression, access to information, and community organizing.
