SSA Marisa Budwick joined the FBI in 2009. Prior to joining the FBI, she was an Assistant District Attorney for the City of Philadelphia. SSA Budwick began her career in the Newark Field Office investigating international terrorism and violent crime matters, including crimes against children. In 2017, SA Budwick transferred to the Denver Division where she focused on investigating national security cases- both international and domestic. She was the case agent for the King Soopers mass shooting in Boulder, Colorado in 2021. SSA Budwick has been Denver's Threat Management Coordinator since 2022, where she has obtained additional training from the Behavioral Analysis Unit to assess and manage threats. SSA Budwick helped start and currently co-heads the Boulder County Threat Assessment Group, the first county-wide multidisciplinary threat assessment group in Colorado. SSA Budwick currently serves as Denver's Chief Division Counsel.
