Rebecca Fitzsimmons is currently serving as Director of Critical Escalations & Privacy, Trust & Safety Ops at Thumbtack. In this capacity she leads a team responsible for the most high-risk and sensitive matters that could impact Thumbtack’s users. She also oversees background checks, pro identity verification, as well as data privacy requests for Thumbtack.

Prior to her appointment at Thumbtack, Rebecca enjoyed a career in federal law enforcement, serving as a Special Agent for 14 and 1/2 years, the majority of which was with NCIS. Over the years she served in several roles around the U.S. and overseas, with her last assignment being the Assistant Special Agent in Charge of the NCIS Marine Corps West Field Office. During her tenure with NCIS, she worked across several mission sets, ranging from felony level criminal investigations, to counterintelligence and counterterrorism cases, in the U.S. and while living overseas in Europe.
