This talk is part of a two-presentation session running from 11:10 AM -12:00 PM. The session will feature two presentations back-to-back, with Q&A after each presentation.
This session will cover the design, development, validation process, and framework for application of an assessment tool to evaluate psychological impact of moderating egregious content, the Reaction to Content - 10 (RTC-10) scale. The RTC-10 was developed due to the absence of direct measures for potential psychological impact. The scale draws inspiration from established measures, specifically, Secondary Traumatic Stress Scale, PCL-5, and Impact of Event Scale. This presentation will provide the framework design, validation process for reliability, and case studies on how the scale can be applied during individual connects, group debriefing sessions, and critical care scenarios. The RTC-10 scale categorizes scores into five levels, providing a nuanced framework to understand varying degrees of psychological impact. The session will share specific wellbeing recommendations corresponding to these five categories that allows for a timely and tailored response. It will also cover the challenges, limitations, and lessons learnt from 2000 use cases.
