Challenges of enforcing T&S effectively at scale

1. Consistency

• policies are often written in spirit, aka these are things we want to catch. But policies needs to be interpreted in practice and the risk of either over- or under- moderation presents a significant challenge

2. Emerging threats and adaptability

• in today's digital landscape, speed of reaction to emerging threats and harmful activities is paramount

3. Scalability

• as user bases grow and engagement levels increase, we need to scale T&S enforcement that is effective and efficient while bending the cost curve

Here we present how to tackle these problems with a T&S Flywheel, a wholistic system that spans from operations to engineering, which is robust and scalable to emerging threats while maintaining consistency amidst diverse nuances to user generated content and evolving behaviors.
