Online platforms offer unique opportunities for transgender individuals to express themselves, connect with others, and access resources. However, these spaces are often marred by rampant transphobia, including hateful rhetoric, misinformation, hate crime, discrimination, trans-bias and even threats of violence. This can have severe consequences for transgender individuals, impacting their mental health, social well-being, and safety. This presentation aims to explore the evolving trends and tactics employed in online transphobia, alongside strategies for its detection and mitigation. Drawing on insights and experiences, the presentation will delve into the challenges and opportunities of creating safe and inclusive online spaces for transgender people. Recommendations will be provided for platform owners, managers, and developers, focusing on effective policies that prevent and respond to transphobic abuse while respecting user rights and preferences
