Name
The Art of Psychological Safety: Using Data & Technology to Protect CSAM Moderators in Real-Time
Description

Child safety work is distinct to other content moderation tasks, and here the emphasis on moderator protection is at its highest. This hands-on workshop will describe the relationship between biometric data, mental health and performance scores, and how data and technology can be used to identify the needs of your moderators in real-time. Using our cross-platform best practice, we’ll show you which three tools are the most effective for setting up an appropriate workforce management strategy and ensuring safe spaces are available to moderators throughout their employment.  This workshop will:

  • Educate participants around the ways that CSAM content moderation uniquely impacts health, wellbeing, performance and productivity in content moderators
  • Conduct an experiment with the group using wearable devices, as a method of assessing health and wellbeing in a production environment
  • Give participants practical ways to implement specific interventions into their workforce management strategy

This session will be valuable to anyone working with content moderators in a child safety or CSAM work environment, including operational leadership, team leaders, workforce management and wellbeing practitioners. Participants can be from any type of company and do not need to be technical. This is a hand-on workshop and attendees will be expected to participate in brief group activities.
