Alex Feerst is a technology lawyer who works with startups in areas including artificial intelligence, robotics, neurotechnology, social media, and blockchain. He was previously Head of Legal and Head of Trust and Safety at publishing platform Medium, and General Counsel at Neuralink (a Brain-Machine Interface company). In 2021, he co-founded the Digital Trust and Safety Partnership, the first industry-led initiative to establish best practices for advancing and assessing online safety. He is a fellow at Stanford’s Center for Internet & Society, board advisor to the Filecoin Foundation, and an editorial board member of the Journal of Online Trust & Safety.
