Amelinda Pandu Kusumaningtyas, a sociology graduate from Universitas Gadjah Mada, is a researcher at the Center for Digital Society (CfDS) since 2019. Her work focuses primarily on studying misinformation, disinformation, the social changes and challenges arising from the digital transformation, and everyday feminism in the digital era. Her dedication to understanding the impact of digital technologies on society has led her to develop extensive knowledge and expertise in addressing misinformation in Indonesia.

Some of her previous projects that are align with the conference topic are: Social Media 4 Peace Social Media Content Moderation in Indonesia (2022); Public Perception on Covid-19 Vaccine (2021), Teenage-related Cyberbullying Cases in Indonesia (2021), and Integrity of Election Ads and Campaigns on Social Media (2020).

Having contributed to various research and community outreach projects, Amelinda has gained a deep understanding of the dynamics of misinformation and its effects on society. She will bring a valuable perspective to the discussion, particularly as she offers insights from the global south.
