Jonathan Corpus Ong is an associate professor of global digital media at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and a research fellow at the Shorenstein Center of Harvard Kennedy School. He is the author of pioneering ethnographic research exposing shadow economies of disinformation production in the global South, published as Architects of Networked Disinformation (2018), Politics and Profit in the Fake News Factory (2020), and Trolls for Sale (2022). He co-hosts a "disinformation whistleblowers" podcast "Catch Me If You Can", now in its third season featuring interviews with influence operators, ranked Top1% Most Followed Podcasts Globally by Spotify in 2022. He is a 2022 awardee of the Andrew Carnegie Fellowship.
