Andrew McDiarmid is Mozilla's Trust & Safety Lead, currently working to build out soup-to-nuts T&S functions for Mozilla's social products, including Pocket and Mozilla.social. He has worked in various non-profit and corporate tech policy, T&S, and user advocacy roles for 15 years, most recently as a Sr. Manager of Twitter's erstwhile Product Trust team. He has a master's in information management and systems from the UC–Berkeley School of Information, and is delighted to be attending TrustCon as a speaker for the first time.
