Chong Zhang is a Research Engineer at OpenAI, where he co-led refusals and model safety for GPT-4 (https://arxiv.org/pdf/2303.08774.pdf). The goal of this project was to train the model to reduce harmful outputs and refuse requests for such content. Prior to this, he assisted in building OpenAI’s Moderation API (https://openai.com/blog/new-and-improved-content-moderation-tooling).
