Shannon Raj Singh is an attorney specialized in international criminal law, atrocity prevention and the intersection of tech & human rights. Until November 2022, she was Human Rights Counsel at Twitter, where she advised on urgent risks related to the platform’s use in crisis settings such as Ethiopia, Afghanistan, and Ukraine. Today, Shannon is Special Advisor on Social Media & Conflict to the Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue, a Geneva-based organization supporting peace negotiations around the world. In addition, Shannon is the Davis Genocide Prevention Fellow at the USHMM Center for the Prevention of Genocide, exploring how social media can support efforts to avert mass violence.

Previously, Shannon was based in The Hague, working at the Special Tribunal for Lebanon. She is also Co-Chair of the War Crimes Committee of the International Bar Association, and a Member of Guernica 37 International Justice Chambers.
