Kristen is currently the Senior Director for Global Risk & Strategy at Twitch. Prior to joining Twitch in 2022, she was the Global Head of Risk Assessment at Meta for almost five years, where she supported the establishment of the Oversight Board, as well as leading risk assessments for Meta’s critical cross-company initiatives. These included the 2019/20 Civil Rights Audit to understand over and under enforcement of underrepresented communities and the 2021 Youth Safety initiative to identify and mitigate risks to under-18 users on Facebook and Instagram. Kristen served as a Naval Intelligence Officer for thirteen years before transitioning into the tech sector, where she specialized in Human Intelligence, Counter Terrorism, and Special Operations Support in Afghanistan, the Middle East, East Africa, and the Philippines. She holds a Bachelors in Science from the U.S. Naval Academy, a Master's in Intelligence Studies, and a Certificate in Entrepreneurship from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
