Chris Kokotilo is an experienced lawyer, engineer, and product manager, with a deep understanding of Trust & Safety product development. He has worked in Security, Privacy, and Trust & Safety fields for over a decade and has developed a reputation as a thought leader in the industry.

Chris is currently a Staff Behavioral Engineer at Robinhood, where he leads the company’s Safety by Design program, which is designed to introduce Trust by Design, Privacy by Design, and Security by Design principles early on in the product lifecycle. He also provides Trust by Design advisory services across multiple consumer products, and is responsible for building behavioral campaigns aimed at influencing consumers to make meaningful choices about their Security and Privacy. Prior to Robinhood, Chris worked at Nike, where he led the organization’s Privacy portfolio focused on Consumer Data & Analytics. Before that, Chris spent multiple years in professional services, both as a practicing lawyer and as a management consultant in the tech sector.

Chris holds a J.D. from the DePaul University in Chicago, as well as a MsC in International Business from Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona. He attended the University of Michigan for his undergraduate studies, where he dual-majored in Political Science and Philosophy. He holds the Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) certification, is an active lawyer in the state of Florida, and is an active member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).

Chris is incredibly passionate about consumer Trust & Safety and is committed to building products that are safe and transparent. He enjoys sharing his expertise with others and speaking at conferences and events about the intersection of consumer product and Trust & Safety.
