Mark Hanson is a product manager at Discord. He has spent the last five years working in Trust & Safety, defining inauthentic behavior as part of Facebook’s Policy team, building signals and ML infrastructure in Twitter’s Health platform, and driving an evolution of Discord's enforcement systems. Prior to tech, Mark spent nearly a decade in national security, holding a variety of roles combating influence operations and investigating cybercrime. He most recently served as the first Section Chief for Cyber & Emerging Technologies at the U.S. Treasury Department. He holds a master’s degree from Johns Hopkins SAIS and a bachelor’s degree from Harvard.
