What Happens Off-Service: Navigating Safety in an Interconnected Ecosystem
Description
Twitch has been one of the first in industry to introduce a public-facing Off Service Conduct policy. Part of the need for this policy is our unique focus on twice-annual in-person events (TwitchCons) where it is vital that our community feels secure and protected. If we are made aware that egregious threats/actions have been made or enacted, our responsibility is to investigate these and take action where appropriate. In this presentation we will talk about the genesis of the Off-Service Policy, how we've navigated challenges through its evolution, and and how it works today.
