Often, T&S and Product are seen as sitting on opposing sides of the table. As with most things Safety, the reality is far more nuanced. Many T&S and Product teams are working towards common goals, but speaking different languages due to where they sit within an organization. This talk will cover the lessons learned while transitioning from Product Policy to Product Management, with the goal of helping T&S practitioners in all functions collaborate more easily. I will talk about how competing priorities can lead to misunderstandings between PMs and their stakeholders, challenge common assumptions about the T&S and Product mindsets, and offer a few practical tips for building understanding between T&S and Product functions.

Lightning talks are 5-7 minute talks grouped with other 5-7 minute talks across a 50 minute session. There will be time for Q&A after all of the lightning talks in a session.
