Name
Everyone's Business: How We Get the Public to Care about Trust and Safety
Description
What does a future look like in which millions of people understand the tradeoffs involved in online safety? How do we combat accusations of censorship and educate the public about why it’s both difficult and important work?
In this wide-ranging panel, we’ll try to put our finger on why trust and safety debates struggle to engage and mobilise the general public in the way other hot-button issues do. Plus we’ll try to come up with solutions to address the current lack of awareness about content moderation among so many internet users.
