Name
Discovering Abusive Links In Emails
Description

At Bitly, we want to make the internet a safer place. To work toward this goal, we have created an ecosystem that involves services, trusted partners, and tools—one of the latter is Abusebot. Abusebot is designed to scan the inbox of an email used by collaborators and users to report abusive links, parse these emails, and add the reported links to our records of unwanted links. In this presentation, we will delve into the design process of Abusebot, sharing insights and lessons you could apply to systems of a similar nature that scan and parse text-based content. We will talk about its development, the limitations of the current implementation, and potential improvements to enhance its effectiveness.
