The importance of building Trust and Safety in new digital spaces has never been greater. It’s essential that the proliferation of new platforms and channels can prove to users that they are trusted, safe places in which to spend their time (and money). The Metaverse has only intensified this need, as users can bring their own identities more completely into virtual spaces. It’s no longer only about what you share, it’s how you behave. We’ve seen for ourselves the unique set of Trust and Safety challenges that the metaverse is bringing, and in this session we’ll be sharing our first-hand experience of providing customer experience support to The Sandbox, a virtual world in the Metaverse where players can build, own, and make money from their gaming experiences using the Ethereum blockchain.
