Inyoung Cheong is a Ph.D. Candidate at the University of Washington School of Law and a doctorate researcher at the UW Computer Science Privacy & Security lab. She researches how the public and private sector address the emerging threats of the internet from the perspective of free speech and privacy. As a Fulbright scholar, she conducts a variety of comparative legal studies, including the EU's Digital Services Act, AI Act, and GDPR. Before coming to the US, she worked as a government player, for eight years, in the online content regulatory ecosystem in South Korea.
